El \"gran arco\" o \"arco de cerco\" (Arch of Hysteria), con su ambivalencia de p\u00e9rdida de control y dominio, es un motivo seductor que cuenta con una larga tradici\u00f3n en la historia del arte y la cultura. Puede encontrarse en representaciones de danza y acrobacias, pero tambi\u00e9n describe enfermedades f\u00edsicas o mentales: El cuerpo (femenino) sobredimensionado expresa el \u00e9xtasis o un trastorno psic\u00f3tico. En la danza, en cambio, simboliza el virtuosismo del control corporal y la expresividad. Con \"Arco de histeria\", el Museum der Moderne de Salzburgo dedica una exposici\u00f3n a este motivo de gran fuerza visual y muestra obras de arte de los \u00faltimos 100 a\u00f1os procedentes de contextos muy diversos, explorando as\u00ed la diversidad de posibilidades expresivas inherentes a la pose, hasta su transformaci\u00f3n en formas abstractas, pero expresivas y, por tanto, inconfundibles.
