Monica Bonvicini ha creado una obra multicapa de instalaciones, esculturas y dibujos reconocida internacionalmente, por la que fue galardonada con el Le\u00f3n de Oro de la Bienal de Venecia en 1999 y, en 2020, con el Premio Oskar Kokoschka de Viena. Este volumen presenta ahora dos series actuales de dibujos: Una contin\u00faa la serie \"Huracanes y otras cat\u00e1strofes\", iniciada en 2006 con motivo de la devastaci\u00f3n causada por el hurac\u00e1n Katrina, y ampl\u00eda la visi\u00f3n, centrada inicialmente en la repentina destrucci\u00f3n causada por el hurac\u00e1n en Nueva Orleans, para incluir vistas de casas que muestran da\u00f1os debidos al cambio clim\u00e1tico a largo plazo. La segunda serie -creada durante el encierro- da paso a paisajes de color gris oscuro y rosa dominados por vallas, cadenas y l\u00edneas de texto. Estas \u00faltimas contrastan con los fondos suaves y parecen asombrosamente reales y presentes. Monica Bonvicini ha pintado con aerosol palabras que originalmente proced\u00edan de Roland Barthes, Judith Butler, Natalie Diaz, Soraya Chemaly o Andrea Dworkin, aunque retorcidas, acortadas o alteradas de otro modo, creando una dimensi\u00f3n po\u00e9tica completamente nueva: \"Weep Me Crude\", \"Power Joy Humour & Resistance\", \"I Never Tire\", etc.<\/p>\n
