En el centro de la obra fotogr\u00e1fica de Carina Brandes (*1982) -que expuso en la Kunstverein Heilbronn en 2018- se encuentra su propio cuerpo, que utiliza -de manera casi fr\u00eda, seg\u00fan una interpretaci\u00f3n com\u00fan hoy en d\u00eda- como material de su producci\u00f3n art\u00edstica. Esto da lugar a confrontaciones surrealistas entre su cuerpo y una gran variedad de mundos objetuales, por as\u00ed decirlo, por los que los escenarios aparentemente cotidianos se transforman en misteriosos sucesos llenos de deseos latentes. En el contexto de las actuales pol\u00edticas de g\u00e9nero y del cuerpo, el cuerpo femenino suele ser sin\u00f3nimo de horror y sexo, se asocia a v\u00edctimas maltratadas o se degrada hasta convertirse en un provocativo soporte publicitario. Carina Brandes contrasta esto con su ambigua apariencia en un mundo deliberadamente libre de hombres, que puede caracterizarse tanto por una objetividad abyecta como por momentos sensuales y humor\u00edsticos. La artista, antigua gimnasta familiarizada con su cuerpo como medio de autorretrato desde su m\u00e1s tierna juventud, suele trabajar sola y utiliza en todo momento la fotograf\u00eda anal\u00f3gica. Su enfoque l\u00fadico y din\u00e1mico lleva la interacci\u00f3n de la sensaci\u00f3n y el est\u00edmulo externo, del sujeto y el objeto, m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de las cuestiones feministas formuladas por las posturas cl\u00e1sicas de Ana Mendieta, Maria Lassnig, Valie Export y Cindy Sherman. Como ganadora de un premio Villa Romana en 2017, desarroll\u00f3 nuevas obras en Florencia, que se han incorporado a la visi\u00f3n global de su obra recopilada por primera vez en esta publicaci\u00f3n.<\/p>\n
