La pr\u00e1ctica art\u00edstica de Ho\u00ebl Duret combina historias ficticias con hechos reales y desarrolla un lenguaje visual basado en la ciencia ficci\u00f3n, el cine postapocal\u00edptico o las utop\u00edas del modernismo, con cuya ayuda aborda la relaci\u00f3n entre naturaleza y tecnolog\u00eda en el contexto del avance de la digitalizaci\u00f3n. La instalaci\u00f3n del vest\u00edbulo de la Villa Merkel muestra una cita selv\u00e1tica incrustada en una red de cables. Esto parece enredar al proliferante organismo vegetal-tecnol\u00f3gico en un intercambio de informaci\u00f3n, como si el hombre no pudiera evitar controlarlo todo constantemente, incluido el crecimiento de las plantas. Ho\u00ebl Durets controla su ecosistema artificial mediante un algoritmo basado en datos clim\u00e1ticos publicados en Internet. \u00c9ste coreograf\u00eda en tiempo real la iluminaci\u00f3n, la vaporizaci\u00f3n y la banda sonora de la instalaci\u00f3n. De este modo, par\u00e1metros cient\u00edficamente mensurables del cambio clim\u00e1tico actual se incorporan a un conjunto espacial que oscila entre el romanticismo y la ciencia ficci\u00f3n. Esto confiere a la instalaci\u00f3n un matiz ominoso, latentemente apocal\u00edptico, y al mismo tiempo apela a nuestro profundo anhelo de Arcadia.<\/p>\n
