G\u00fcnther F\u00f6rg empez\u00f3 a pintar murales de colores en 1978, cuando a\u00fan era estudiante en la academia. Como le gusta decir entre risas, era lo m\u00e1s obvio para \u00e9l; al fin y al cabo, siempre hab\u00eda ganado dinero extra como pintor durante sus estudios. En total, cre\u00f3 m\u00e1s de 140 murales, una selecci\u00f3n de los cuales puede verse ahora en el Deichtorhallen. G\u00fcnther F\u00f6rg esperaba con impaciencia la exposici\u00f3n de los murales en las Deichtorhallen; en una entrevista hace a\u00f1os, ya hab\u00eda dividido claramente este importante conjunto de obras en diferentes tipos: \"... los primeros eran bisecciones verticales, m\u00e1s tarde horizontales de muros. Luego hay secuencias de color en las que diferentes zonas de color se sit\u00faan una junto a otra. Hab\u00eda habitaciones en las que las cuatro paredes estaban pintadas de distintos colores. Varios cuadros se crearon en espacios p\u00fablicos o semip\u00fablicos. En estas obras, la atenci\u00f3n se centra en la arquitectura, que la pintura hace visible o enfatiza. El color hace referencia al lugar... Tambi\u00e9n cre\u00f3 pinturas murales con superficies y rayas, as\u00ed como murales cercanos a las pinturas sobre tabla\". El cr\u00edtico Hans-Joachim M\u00fcller lo expres\u00f3 as\u00ed: \"\u00a1G\u00fcnther F\u00f6rg era un aut\u00e9ntico artista espacial!\".<\/p>\n
