Hamish Fulton, nacido en Londres en 1946, trabaja en una obra completamente independiente, llena de poes\u00eda y caracterizada por una actitud distintiva, aut\u00e9ntica y cosmopolita. Lleva m\u00e1s de 40 a\u00f1os transformando y etiquetando el \"caminar\" como una forma de arte: los paseos. Fulton emprende paseos por todos los continentes, a los que llama \"De costa a costa\" en Gran Breta\u00f1a, por ejemplo. Los resultados son dibujos murales y pinturas, fotograf\u00edas y objetos en los que los fen\u00f3menos definitorios de los paseos se plasman de diversas maneras. Al mismo tiempo, seg\u00fan el lema \"No Walk, no Art\", tambi\u00e9n pueden leerse como una protesta pasiva contra los excesos de la urbanizaci\u00f3n, que Fulton formula con simpat\u00eda pero sin concesiones. En 1994, Hamish Fulton tambi\u00e9n implic\u00f3 directamente a otras personas en su trabajo por primera vez con una Marcha en Grupo.
