Los motivos de la artista polaco-alemana Magdalena Kita, que los imprime en toallas de ba\u00f1o, recuerdan remotamente a las obsesivas obras de Dorothy Iannone. Sin embargo, Magdalena Kita va un poco m\u00e1s all\u00e1 con sus motivos coloristas e igualmente er\u00f3ticos. En su primera publicaci\u00f3n \"Californication\", que se presenta aqu\u00ed, no s\u00f3lo re\u00fane un impresionante n\u00famero de toallas de ba\u00f1o diferentes, con las que contin\u00faa el ingenuamente placentero programa pict\u00f3rico del feminismo libertario, sino tambi\u00e9n la documentaci\u00f3n de numerosas actuaciones p\u00fablicas y anuncios de televisi\u00f3n que ella misma produjo. En ellos, las toallas de ba\u00f1o son presentadas por j\u00f3venes y crujientes ba\u00f1istas que descansan sobre ellas al sol o las pasean por la playa. Las narraciones pict\u00f3ricas de las toallas funcionan como el Caballo de Troya, mostrando mucho sin revelar nada: Los complejos motivos, cargados de erotismo, no dan pistas al espectador sobre el comportamiento social, ni sobre el estilo de vida ni, m\u00e1s concretamente, sobre el sexo y el g\u00e9nero de los usuarios de las toallas de ba\u00f1o. Las obras son reflejos ir\u00f3nicos de la vida social contempor\u00e1nea, tal y como la celebran los protagonistas masculinos en las playas de Los \u00c1ngeles marcando estilo. En 2016, Magdalena Kita recibi\u00f3 el Premio Van Bommel Van Dam del museo del mismo nombre de Venlo (Pa\u00edses Bajos).<\/p>\n
