Maria Lassnig es una de las artistas austriacas m\u00e1s influyentes despu\u00e9s de 1945, cuya obra pict\u00f3rica ha despertado un enorme inter\u00e9s m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de su pa\u00eds de origen en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, con exposiciones retrospectivas en M\u00fanich, Colonia, Londres y Cincinatti. Su obra se caracteriza por una paleta de colores apagados, representaciones fragmentadas e incluso escult\u00f3ricas de figuras y cuerpos, temas caprichosos y perspectivas pict\u00f3ricas poco convencionales, que al principio fueron reintroducidas en el debate por una historiograf\u00eda del arte de inspiraci\u00f3n principalmente feminista. Ahora, sin embargo, la marea ha cambiado para la artista de Carintia y por fin hay movimiento en su estatus de artista-artista, como demuestra la pr\u00f3xima retrospectiva en el Deichtorhallen, del 21 de junio al 21 de septiembre de 2013, que anteriormente se expuso en la Neue Galerie Graz.
