D\u00f3ra Maurer (*1937, vive en Budapest) est\u00e1 considerada una destacada representante de la neovanguardia. Es, por tanto, una de las artistas que, desde la d\u00e9cada de 1960, han tomado caminos progresistas m\u00e1s all\u00e1 de la pol\u00edtica cultural oficial del Estado h\u00fangaro. Sus obras, que incluyen arte gr\u00e1fico, fotograf\u00eda, cine, arte de acci\u00f3n y pintura, muestran claros planteamientos conceptuales, con la percepci\u00f3n, el movimiento, el desplazamiento y la transformaci\u00f3n como aspectos centrales. La abstracci\u00f3n, especialmente la de los primeros a\u00f1os de la Rep\u00fablica Federal de Alemania, puede calificarse hoy de \"limpieza\" pol\u00edtica, ya que era representativa de la \"sociedad abierta\". Numerosas colecciones de museos alemanes, incluida la de la Kunsthalle Bielefeld, est\u00e1n organizadas en consecuencia. Sin embargo, en los antiguos pa\u00edses del bloque del Este, como Hungr\u00eda, la abstracci\u00f3n ten\u00eda una connotaci\u00f3n \"opositora\". Debido a la naturaleza no representativa de sus obras, que contrastaban con la norma oficial del Realismo Socialista, D\u00f3ra Maurer ocupaba una posici\u00f3n especial. Esto se vio reforzado por sus contactos y viajes a Occidente, que le fueron posibles incluso antes de 1989 gracias a su doble nacionalidad h\u00fangara y austriaca. Sus experimentos con la fotograf\u00eda y el cine en la d\u00e9cada de 1970 y sus obras abstracto-geom\u00e9tricas basadas en el desplazamiento procesual muestran un evidente paralelismo formal con el arte de posguerra de Europa Occidental y EE.UU. Sin embargo, sus obras son inconcebibles sin la experiencia de la vida bajo el r\u00e9gimen comunista.<\/p>\n
