En 1967, Peter Roehr y Paul Maenz comisariaron la exposici\u00f3n \"Serial Formations\" para la Studiengalerie de la Universidad de Fr\u00e1ncfort del Meno, una de las primeras muestras de arte minimalista en Alemania. En el marco de la serie de exposiciones y publicaciones \"Minimalismo en Alemania\", iniciada en 2005, la Colecci\u00f3n de Arte Daimler intenta ahora por primera vez reeditar esta presentaci\u00f3n de importancia hist\u00f3rica. En su momento, resumi\u00f3 las tendencias minimalistas internacionales actuales a un alto nivel y las yuxtapuso a las posiciones de los artistas alemanes. El criterio de selecci\u00f3n del total de 62 obras de 48 artistas expuestas fue el principio del orden serial como caracter\u00edstica visual de cuadros y objetos. Naturalmente, esto pod\u00eda ocultar conceptos diferentes y bastante contrarios. El movimiento europeo Zero estaba representado, al igual que el Minimal y el Concept Art norteamericanos, y se presentaban aspectos del Nouveau R\u00e9alisme, el Pop y el Op Art; como escrib\u00eda Paul Maenz en el cat\u00e1logo que acompa\u00f1aba la exposici\u00f3n, \"la ambici\u00f3n informativa era aclarar las diferencias entre formas de apariencia similares\". La particularidad de la publicaci\u00f3n que acompa\u00f1a a la actual exposici\u00f3n berlinesa es la reimpresi\u00f3n \u00edntegra del cat\u00e1logo original, muy codiciado hoy en d\u00eda y excelente ejemplo del dise\u00f1o de los primeros libros conceptuales.<\/p>\n
