Mientras que antes d\u00e1bamos por sentado el aire en la vida cotidiana, en la actualidad aparece como elemento causante de problemas en el discurso pol\u00edtico y social: durante la crisis del coronavirus, llevamos mascarillas para proteger a los dem\u00e1s del aire que respiramos, los cient\u00edficos investigan el papel que desempe\u00f1an los aerosoles en la transmisi\u00f3n del virus Covid-19 y los activistas clim\u00e1ticos luchan por un aire limpio para salvar el mundo. La representaci\u00f3n del aire ha sido un reto art\u00edstico desde el Renacimiento a m\u00e1s tardar. El aire como material, por otra parte, es un fen\u00f3meno relativamente reciente en el arte. Desde el modernismo, los artistas se han esforzado por la apropiaci\u00f3n art\u00edstica del mundo, as\u00ed como por su disoluci\u00f3n de fronteras y su transformaci\u00f3n. Por tanto, parece l\u00f3gico que hayan recurrido al aire no s\u00f3lo como idea, sino tambi\u00e9n como material. El aire ya no s\u00f3lo se representa como viento, nubes, niebla, vapor, humo o aliento, sino que se utiliza conscientemente como medio. Desde entonces, el aire ha aparecido como medio de expresi\u00f3n y como tema en las artes visuales, aplicadas e interpretativas. La exposici\u00f3n y el libro que la acompa\u00f1a se centran en el aire como material art\u00edstico y como portador de formas e ideas en las artes visuales. Las obras expuestas, al igual que el material que todas comparten, son a veces expansivas, a veces m\u00ednimas o incluso invisibles, s\u00f3lidas y ef\u00edmeras, colocadas en interiores y exteriores. El arte se tormenta, respira, sopla, se hincha, se evapora, respira, susurra y flota.<\/p>\n
