Consigue transformar un simple alambre en una l\u00ednea curva en el espacio, uniendo un ovillo de correas tensoras en el din\u00e1mico y complejo juego de formas, colores y texturas de una red de algod\u00f3n. L\u00fadicas y austeras, sus obras despliegan una din\u00e1mica en el espacio que puede asociarse con la plenitud de movimiento del Barroco, as\u00ed como con una decisi\u00f3n minimalista de prescindir de todo lo innecesario y confiar en las posibilidades del material. Desde la d\u00e9cada de 1990, la artista recorre calles, obras, descampados industriales, f\u00e1bricas y plantas de producci\u00f3n en busca de materiales para sus esculturas y objetos murales. En el pasado, estos lugares eran un Eldorado para conseguir materiales. Hoy, en la era del reciclaje, a veces parecen pabellones de alta seguridad, como coment\u00f3 recientemente la artista en una conversaci\u00f3n. Ella misma recicla de un modo completamente distinto: metales, pl\u00e1sticos, envases, alambres y \"cosas\" entran en su trabajo en el estudio. Son reliquias parlantes de la producci\u00f3n, restos que llevan huellas de uso, tan minimalistas como bellos, y Birgit Werres los ensambla en objetos en la sala. Todo tiene una historia y tambi\u00e9n puede convertirse en algo nuevo en un lugar nuevo.<\/p>\n
