La historia se cuenta de forma casi tan sencilla como los motivos concretos que se exponen en este libro. Hace unos 30 a\u00f1os, Gerhard Winkler tuvo un momento crucial que se convertir\u00eda en una experiencia fundamental. Durante un paseo por el mercado de Lisboa, el artista ya no pudo apartar la vista de la belleza del pescado que all\u00ed se ofrec\u00eda: sardinas, lucios, atunes, calamares y muchas otras especies, todas en abundancia, algunas almacenadas en hielo, otras alineadas por tipos en puestos met\u00e1licos. Los clientes deb\u00edan sentirse atra\u00eddos por la est\u00e9tica de la exposici\u00f3n, y lo consigui\u00f3. Pero hab\u00eda m\u00e1s. Se fij\u00f3 m\u00e1s detenidamente y descubri\u00f3 por s\u00ed mismo la belleza y la individualidad de los peces. Winkler utiliza principalmente pel\u00edcula en blanco y negro, cuyos negativos sirven de base para sus impresiones baritadas hechas a mano, que luego se colorean a mano con tintes prote\u00ednicos para igualar el aspecto real de los animales. Gerhard Winkler enriquece la fotograf\u00eda contempor\u00e1nea con este m\u00e9todo art\u00edstico individual, que retoma procedimientos hist\u00f3ricamente probados - el tipo de coloraci\u00f3n se remonta tambi\u00e9n a m\u00e9todos de postprocesado fotogr\u00e1fico del siglo XIX. Cada uno de sus peces y cefal\u00f3podos se presenta con tal maestr\u00eda y acentuada individualidad que todos parecen encantadores, enigm\u00e1ticos e indisimulados.<\/p>\n
