En su obra pict\u00f3rica, Austin Eddy formula contradicciones, recurre a las tradiciones del modernismo cl\u00e1sico y trabaja el equilibrio entre figuraci\u00f3n y abstracci\u00f3n. En cuanto a los motivos, los p\u00e1jaros, los peces y las flores desempe\u00f1an el papel principal en sus obras. Estos elementos figurativos se despliegan en bodegones, paisajes y paisajes urbanos. Trabajados con colores vivos y modulados con diferentes texturas de aplicaci\u00f3n de la pintura, los elementos pict\u00f3ricos entran en una interacci\u00f3n perspectivista, en una red de l\u00edneas y superficies y se convierten as\u00ed en una compleja estructura de superposiciones espaciales. Motivos pict\u00f3ricos similares aparecen una y otra vez en diferentes formaciones, colores y composiciones. Este trabajo en serie y la naturaleza abstracta de los motivos contradicen inicialmente la idea de una representaci\u00f3n viva, creciente y expresiva de la naturaleza. De hecho, el artista no se preocupa tanto por la expresi\u00f3n espont\u00e1nea de la proximidad a la naturaleza como por el examen de c\u00f3mo se transmite la naturaleza en el arte. El t\u00edtulo del libro y de la exposici\u00f3n tambi\u00e9n apuntan a esta conexi\u00f3n: Still Life - still a living still - capturada en una obra atmosf\u00e9rica de colores vibrantes, motivos de bordes vivos y planos abstractos de luz. Este juego con la distancia y una profunda conexi\u00f3n con la naturaleza encuentran una formulaci\u00f3n po\u00e9tica y minimalista en la obra de Austin Eddy.<\/p>\n
