Le travail photographique de Carina Brandes (*1982) - qu'elle a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 en 2018 au Kunstverein Heilbronn - est centr\u00e9 sur son propre corps, qu'elle utilise - de mani\u00e8re presque cool, selon une lecture courante aujourd'hui - comme mat\u00e9riau de sa production artistique. Il en r\u00e9sulte des confrontations surr\u00e9alistes entre son corps et les mondes d'objets les plus divers, ce qui transforme les settings d'apparence quotidienne en \u00e9v\u00e9nements myst\u00e9rieux pleins de convoitise latente. Dans le contexte de la politique actuelle en mati\u00e8re de genre et de corps, le corps f\u00e9minin est g\u00e9n\u00e9ralement synonyme d'horreur et de sexe, associ\u00e9 \u00e0 des victimes maltrait\u00e9es ou d\u00e9grad\u00e9 en un moyen publicitaire aguicheur. Carina Brandes oppose \u00e0 cela son apparence ambigu\u00eb dans un monde d\u00e9lib\u00e9r\u00e9ment sans hommes, qui peut \u00eatre d\u00e9termin\u00e9 aussi bien par une objectivit\u00e9 abjecte que par des moments sensuels et humoristiques. Ancienne gymnaste, l'artiste est familiaris\u00e9e depuis sa plus tendre enfance avec son corps en tant que m\u00e9dium de l'autoportrait. Elle travaille le plus souvent seule et utilise syst\u00e9matiquement la technique photographique analogique. Son approche \u00e0 la fois ludique et dynamique pousse l'interaction entre la sensation et le stimulus ext\u00e9rieur, entre le sujet et l'objet, au-del\u00e0 des questions f\u00e9ministes formul\u00e9es par les positions d'Ana Mendieta, Maria Lassnig, Valie Export ou Cindy Sherman, que l'on peut d\u00e9j\u00e0 qualifier de classiques. En tant que laur\u00e9ate de la Villa Romana 2017, elle a d\u00e9velopp\u00e9 de nouveaux travaux \u00e0 Florence, qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 int\u00e9gr\u00e9s dans le vaste aper\u00e7u de ses travaux r\u00e9alis\u00e9 pour la premi\u00e8re fois par cette publication.<\/p>\n
