La pratique artistique de Ho\u00ebl Duret associe des histoires fictives \u00e0 des \u00e9v\u00e9nements r\u00e9els et d\u00e9veloppe un langage visuel bas\u00e9 sur la science-fiction, le cin\u00e9ma post-apocalyptique ou les utopies modernes, \u00e0 l'aide duquel elle aborde les relations entre la nature et la technologie sur fond de num\u00e9risation croissante. L'installation dans le hall d'entr\u00e9e de la Villa Merkel montre une citation de la jungle, int\u00e9gr\u00e9e dans un r\u00e9seau de c\u00e2bles. Celui-ci semble impliquer l'organisme v\u00e9g\u00e9tal et technologique prolif\u00e9rant dans un \u00e9change d'informations - comme si l'homme ne pouvait s'emp\u00eacher de toujours tout contr\u00f4ler, y compris la croissance des plantes. Ho\u00ebl Durets pilote son \u00e9cosyst\u00e8me artificiel gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 un algorithme bas\u00e9 sur des donn\u00e9es climatiques publi\u00e9es en ligne. Celles-ci chor\u00e9graphient en temps r\u00e9el l'\u00e9clairage, la vaporisation et la bande sonore de l'installation. Des param\u00e8tres scientifiquement mesurables du changement climatique actuel sont ainsi int\u00e9gr\u00e9s dans un ensemble spatial oscillant entre romantisme et science-fiction. Cela conf\u00e8re \u00e0 l'installation un sous-entendu lugubre et apocalyptique latent, tout en faisant appel \u00e0 notre profonde nostalgie de l'Arcadie.<\/p>\n
