Depuis 1978, alors qu'il \u00e9tait encore \u00e9tudiant \u00e0 l'acad\u00e9mie, G\u00fcnther F\u00f6rg a commenc\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9aliser des peintures murales en couleur. Comme il le raconte volontiers en riant, c'\u00e9tait pour lui une \u00e9vidence, car il avait toujours gagn\u00e9 un peu d'argent en travaillant comme peintre pendant ses \u00e9tudes. Au total, il a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 plus de 140 peintures murales, dont une s\u00e9lection est d\u00e9sormais expos\u00e9e dans les Deichtorhallen. G\u00fcnther F\u00f6rg se r\u00e9jouissait de l'exposition des peintures murales dans les Deichtorhallen ; dans une interview, il avait d\u00e9j\u00e0 clairement divis\u00e9 cet ensemble d'\u0153uvres important pour lui en diff\u00e9rents types : \"... les premi\u00e8res \u00e9taient des bifurcations verticales, plus tard horizontales. Ensuite, il y a des s\u00e9ries de couleurs dans lesquelles diff\u00e9rentes surfaces color\u00e9es sont juxtapos\u00e9es. Il y avait des pi\u00e8ces o\u00f9 les quatre murs \u00e9taient peints de couleurs diff\u00e9rentes. Plusieurs peintures ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es dans des espaces publics ou semi-publics. Dans ces travaux, l'architecture est au premier plan, visible et\/ou mise en valeur par la peinture. La couleur se r\u00e9f\u00e8re au lieu ... De plus, des peintures murales avec des surfaces et des bandes ont \u00e9t\u00e9 r\u00e9alis\u00e9es, ainsi que des peintures murales proches du tableau noir\". Le critique Hans-Joachim M\u00fcller l'a formul\u00e9 ainsi : \"G\u00fcnther F\u00f6rg \u00e9tait un v\u00e9ritable artiste de l'espace !\"<\/p>\n
