Frank Gerritz, n\u00e9 en 1964 \u00e0 Hambourg, est un artiste dont la pens\u00e9e se d\u00e9place litt\u00e9ralement dans l'espace. Partant du sol, son \u0153uvre s'\u00e9tend au mur et, de l\u00e0, se r\u00e9percute dans l'espace. Le sculpteur traite notamment des panneaux d'aluminium avec un paintstick (craie \u00e0 l'huile) de mani\u00e8re si dense que leurs surfaces semblent ferm\u00e9es d'une part, mais que la structure de l'application reste visible d'autre part. Le noir n'est pas toujours noir, l\u00e0 o\u00f9 les surfaces en aluminium anodis\u00e9 argent\u00e9 refl\u00e8tent l'espace, les parties sombres des surfaces r\u00e9v\u00e8lent un miroitement, un reste de lumi\u00e8re qui varie selon le point de vue et l'\u00e9clairage. Les surfaces dessin\u00e9es - crayon graphite ou paint stick sur des panneaux MDF ou de l'aluminium - d\u00e9veloppent une mat\u00e9rialit\u00e9 marqu\u00e9e par des reflets flous qui transforment ainsi les surfaces des supports d'images bidimensionnels en une dimension spatiale. En outre, Gerritz coule des blocs de fer orient\u00e9s sur les dimensions de son corps, dont les surfaces d'appui servent de base aux premi\u00e8res impressions sur papier et d\u00e9finissent les proportions de ses travaux sculpturaux devant le mur. Le catalogue montre l'essence spatiale des objets muraux et des groupes de sculptures, en d\u00e9pliant \u00e9galement les d\u00e9tails des travaux.<\/p>\n
