Christopher Muller, qui occupe depuis 2009 une chaire de photographie artistique \u00e0 l'universit\u00e9 Folkwang, est depuis le milieu\/la fin des ann\u00e9es 1990 l'un des protagonistes les plus inhabituels de la sc\u00e8ne photographique outre-Rhin. Avec des prix artistiques comme ceux du Kunstfonds Bonn en 1995 ou de la fondation Krupp von Bohlen und Halbach en 2004, l'artiste qui a grandi \u00e0 Londres et a \u00e9t\u00e9 form\u00e9 au Camberwell College of Arts & Craft, \u00e0 la Slade School of Fine Art de Londres et enfin \u00e0 l'acad\u00e9mie des arts de D\u00fcsseldorf, a trouv\u00e9 sa place sur la sc\u00e8ne. Il s'est toujours distingu\u00e9 par son approche particuli\u00e8re, qui le diff\u00e9rencie de ses coll\u00e8gues. Il vient de la nature morte et a fait sensation avec ses photographies d'objets en s\u00e9rie dans les ann\u00e9es 1990. Ses collages photographiques r\u00e9cents ainsi que ses aquarelles, qui occupent de plus en plus d'espace, traitent du rapport des choses entre elles et de notre vision de celles-ci.
