Dans sa premi\u00e8re publication, Pia Pollmanns associe l'histoire de sa grand-m\u00e8re Elisa Kosch \u00e0 une recherche photographique dans l'ancien district de Neumarkt, pr\u00e8s de Wroclaw. Le r\u00e9cit de la grand-m\u00e8re, que celle-ci a r\u00e9alis\u00e9 pour l'usage familial, raconte de mani\u00e8re sobre et peu sentimentale la vie rurale dans la province sil\u00e9sienne et l'expulsion des Allemands, r\u00e9sultat de la Seconde Guerre mondiale et du d\u00e9placement de la Pologne vers l'ouest par les puissances victorieuses. Tout comme le texte de la grand-m\u00e8re, les photos de Pia Pollmann montrent le pr\u00e9sent de la r\u00e9gion, toujours fortement marqu\u00e9 par l'agriculture, avec la tristesse habituelle de l'UE d'une exploitation des champs dans le d\u00e9sert et le d\u00e9labrement des grandes fermes, \u00e9galement connu de tous. Le paysage post-socialiste, dont les portraits sont impressionnants, correspond d\u00e9sormais \u00e0 celui des non-lieux \"occidentaux\", o\u00f9 pr\u00e9domine partout le m\u00eame m\u00e9lange de perfectionnement industriel des cultures et de d\u00e9labrement des traditions rurales et des structures villageoises.<\/p>\n
