Le pr\u00e9sent ouvrage documente la confrontation du dessinateur Peter Riek avec la patiente psychiatrique Barbara Suckf\u00fcll, n\u00e9e en 1857. Cette simple paysanne a donn\u00e9 naissance \u00e0 sept enfants et a men\u00e9 une vie normale jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'elle commence \u00e0 percevoir des \"voix au t\u00e9l\u00e9phone\" - le d\u00e9but d'un s\u00e9jour hospitalier de plusieurs ann\u00e9es. Suckf\u00fcll refusait de porter les v\u00eatements de l'\u00e9tablissement, ne voulait jamais quitter sa cellule, ne prenait pas contact avec d'autres patients, mais d\u00e9veloppait dans ses dessins un monde personnel \u00e0 couper le souffle. Seules quelques feuilles ont \u00e9t\u00e9 conserv\u00e9es \u00e0 la collection Prinzhorn de Heidelberg et ont constitu\u00e9 le point de d\u00e9part de l'\u00e9tude artistique de Barbara Suckf\u00fcll men\u00e9e par Peter Riek pendant plus de deux ans. Il en r\u00e9sulte plus de 300 dessins et installations spatiales \u00e0 Reutlingen, Berlin, Ellwangen et Heidelberg. Peter Riek, n\u00e9 en 1960, se consacre exclusivement au dessin. Ses travaux et espaces abstraits et po\u00e9tiques d\u00e9gagent un silence singuli\u00e8rement inqui\u00e9tant et occupent une position importante dans le dessin contemporain.<\/p>\n
