Henning Strassburger, qui a \u00e9tudi\u00e9 \u00e0 l'Acad\u00e9mie des Beaux-Arts de D\u00fcsseldorf de 2006 \u00e0 2009, explore \u00e0 l'\u00e8re des m\u00e9dias sociaux de nouveaux points de vue, de nouvelles questions relatives \u00e0 l'habitus et de nouvelles r\u00e8gles de langage formel. Outre la forte influence qu'exerce manifestement la culture pop sur son \u0153uvre, on pense imm\u00e9diatement au dicton de Jasper Johns (1965) selon lequel la peinture illusionniste n'a plus besoin d'illusionnisme pictural, puisqu'elle est devenue elle-m\u00eame un objet ; la repr\u00e9sentation illusoire d'un objet, d'un sujet r\u00e9el, \u00e9tait en effet devenue obsol\u00e8te avec le Pop Art. Cela reste vrai aujourd'hui, m\u00eame si les conditions g\u00e9n\u00e9rales ont chang\u00e9. C'est pourquoi le commissaire de l'exposition Max Dax pr\u00e9sente les travaux de Henning Strassburger dans l'exposition hambourgeoise HYPER et dans sa derni\u00e8re variante intitul\u00e9e BLACK ALBUM WHITE CUBE, qui sera pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e \u00e0 partir du 20 juin \u00e0 la Kunsthalle de Rotterdam, en consid\u00e9rant que le flot d'images du web, qui simule le r\u00e9alisme, constitue un fonds in\u00e9puisable d'\u0153uvres objectives au sens de Johns. En cons\u00e9quence, Henning Strassburger utilise les fantasmes d'adolescents incarn\u00e9s par les idoles du net comme surfaces de projection pour des motifs d'images abstraites : le baiser de deux stars f\u00e9minines de la pop sur la grande sc\u00e8ne ainsi que la d\u00e9couverte de soi d'une star adolescente en tant que rappeur macho dur.<\/p>\n
