Cette donation est consid\u00e9r\u00e9e comme l'une des plus importantes de l'histoire de la galerie contemporaine. Alexander Schr\u00f6der (*1968) a grandi \u00e0 Hambourg et a fond\u00e9 la galerie NEU \u00e0 Berlin en 1994. Les \u0153uvres de sa collection donnent un excellent aper\u00e7u des positions artistiques des ann\u00e9es 1970 jusqu'\u00e0 l'\u00e9poque contemporaine imm\u00e9diate. Elles mettent \u00e0 jour des points de vue ou remettent en question de mani\u00e8re cibl\u00e9e les normes existantes en mati\u00e8re d'espaces sociaux, d'architecture, d'institutions, de genre, d'identit\u00e9, de sexualit\u00e9, de migration, d'\u00c9tat-nation et de racisme.
