Über dieses Buch

The first book with Günther Förg - the publisher's first book

Günther Förg photographed fifty buildings in Moscow in autumn 1995. From over 1,000 photographs, he then compiled a definitive selection as an archive in 2002, after individual photos had been shown repeatedly in exhibitions, and published it in full for the first time in this book. In addition to the famous studio building by Konstantin Melnikov, which, with its drum as a ground plan, has been copied again and again in modern building history, the volume contains photos of quite extraordinary constructivist and avant-garde building experiments of the 1920s and early 1930s.

Exhibition:
Gemeentemuseum The Hague, 8/11/2003 -18/1/2004
