Some of Olaf Metzel's most beautiful sculptural works have always caused scandals, such as the figure of an unclothed woman with a headscarf, which he called "Turkish delight". However, the fact that behind these publicly criticised sculptures lies an impressive oeuvre of drawings is rarely acknowledged. In addition to important sculptural works and new installations, the majority of this book is therefore dedicated to Olaf Metzel's graphic work, which is not given more space here for the first time and which is dealt with more comprehensively in the texts for the first time.
