"In Siegfried Anzinger's works, the shapes, wrapped in thin paint, are always unreal, they sway and float. It is as if one were dreaming the paintings. The loosely designed motif is carefully painted around, very sensitively, so that you can see how the painter lets himself be dragged along by the swaying and swaying of the brush as if by a divining rod. That is exactly what we experience in his paintings: They allow us to dream. I look past the themes with which they begin; the paintings themselves invite us to do so!" This is how Rudi Fuchs concludes his sensitive text that accompanies the unadorned illustrated book.
