Volume III and Volume IV now available together!

2023 was a pleasing year for Georg Baselitz, with exhibitions attracting worldwide attention, in particular the show at the Kunsthistorisches Museum in Vienna, where his works were able to shine in correspondence with excellent and famous old masters. In April 2024, we will now be publishing the long-awaited volume IV of the catalogue raisonné of prints, "Peintre-Graveur IV". The aftermath of coronavirus has repeatedly delayed the completion of the work. Particularly impressive in this volume are the variants of the woodcut "32 dots" from 1991 (no. 861), of which we reproduce the complete series on a full page. The present volumes III (1983-1989) and IV (1989-1992), with the works on "Malelade" (nos. 584-717 from 1989), the large-format series "32 dots" from 1991 (no. 861 in 6 state forms with 17 print variants), the small series "Winter" (1992), which accompanies a poem by Joseph Brodsky, as well as studies and final works on the "Große Bertelsmann Lexikothek" (nos. 931-999 from 1992) represent an extraordinarily productive decade for the artist.
