Born in Zurich in 1970, abstract artist Andrea Winkler intervenes in the exhibition space, creating spatial images from multi-part installations that vary greatly depending on the viewer's point of view. In a combination of sculptural elements with coloured papers, graffiti and barrier elements that define the path through her spatial image, she not only plays with moments of emptiness and vagueness, but also leads the viewer into an extreme close-up view or a distanced overview. Winkler's installations are coherent but, as the title seems to suggest, they do not actually cite any models, but simply function, are as if in a mixture of improvised lightness and aesthetically strict stylisation. And this glamour, as otherwise exuded by Celebritis, is also inherent in art when it creates spatial images in a dramaturgy that seems to have been composed through and through.
