How do you catch a hare?

Ok, but how do you take it out? And above all, how do you light a fire without a lighter? These are questions to which Bojan Sarcevic's artist's book, developed in guidebook format, provides comprehensive information. A little patience is required to understand the instructions, which are written in onomatopoeic Eastern European English. However, the explanatory drawings are sometimes a quick help. Born in Belgrade in 1974, Bojan Sarcevic now lives in Berlin after his parents' early emigration from the collapsing Yugoslavia initially took him to Paris, where he also studied. His choice of themes and materials is more varied and diverse than that of almost any of his young colleagues; he cannot be pinned down to video, sculptures, installations or works on paper. A catalogue of questions, perhaps also favoured by his emigration, always shines through, with which the viewer is confronted: Who am I? Where do I come from? Where am I going?
