Über dieses Buch

"High Life" "Job"

What do you think it is? With "Cool" "Kiss", on the other hand, there is no limit to the associations. And "fact" "true" "fact", who wouldn't think of the biggest orange-maned tweet machine? The relationship between text and visual form is the central theme of artist Natalie Czech, who was born in Neuss in 1976 and now lives in Berlin. In her various photographic series, she explores the question of the dynamic interaction between text and image. Her most recent work is the "Cigarette ends" series, for which Natalie Czech has acquired many cigarette packets from the 1940s to the 1970s with illustrious names such as "fact", "true" or "Kiss". She arranges the smoked butts next to or under each other on different coloured backgrounds and takes photographs of them. The names of the cigarettes, which are always visible on the bands, are composed into minimalist poems. The small booklet brings together the previous works in the "Cigarette ends" series to a good end, as they can be sent individually by post as consolation or encouragement.
