… any questions? What questions? Some of Olaf Metzel’s finest sculptural works have always provoked scandals, such as the figure of an unclothed woman wearing a headscarf, which he called „Turkish delight“. That behind these publicly attacked sculptures there stands an impressive body of drawings, however, is hardly ever acknowledged. Alongside important sculptural works and new installations, the greater part of the present book is therefore devoted to Olaf Metzel’s drawings, which are given more space here for the first time and which the texts address more comprehensively than ever before.
