Since the 1990s, Fabian Marcaccio's work has explored the possibilities of traditional painting in the digital age. To achieve this, he uses printmaking and transfer techniques for his paintings and has gained significant recognition for his sculptural treatments of two-dimensional canvas surfaces. More recently, he has refined his painting process using digital and industrial techniques. The result is installations, animations, and "Paintants," which combine digitally manipulated images, sculptural forms, and three-dimensional painted surfaces. This book (Kienbaum Artists' Books 2026) presents the most important drawings and preliminary studies for Fabian Marcaccio's immersive works from the past 20 years.
